For the last several days, Riley Larson, general manager of JMS Transportation, launched a donation drive to fill up a 53 foot trailer with essential items for Houston.
Riley was pleasantly surprised by the response. People from all over the neighborhood came in droves.
Many even donated money – $3,500 was raised which was used to purchase groceries.
And on Labor Day, Riley managed to fill up not just one trailer but two trailers which will be heading to Houston this Wed.
The company has a fleet of about 100 trucks, about 120 drivers and 18 office employees.
