Chadwick’s is closing this weekend. The long-time waterfront staple, known for its daily happy hour deals and bottomless champagne brunch opened in 1967. The spot will live in infamy because that is where Aldrich Ames betrayed his country 30 years ago.
Chadwick’s has been a Georgetown staple for nearly 50 years. Mr. Smith’s has been a DC favorite since 1962. Farewell Chadwick’s — Welcome Mr. Smith’s

A Note from Owner:
Many, many thanks to all those people who have supported us through the past decades…and to the many wonderful people – staff and customers – who became great friends and part of our Chadwicks family…we are incredibly sad but know a great new tradition is beginning.
Here’s to the great Chadwicks tradition which will carry on in Old Town, to Mike Kirby who started Chadwicks Georgetown 47 years ago this Labor Day, and most of all to Tom, who is smiling down on all of us.
Our love to all.
