DC AYA Fundraiser
Washington, D.C. – April 18 –DC Alliance of Youth Advocates hosted a fundraiser at Lebanese Taverna on May 15th from 5pm to 8:30pm. The event was sponsored by RuninOut and Lebanese Taverna.
Over 60 people enjoyed an array of complimentary Lebanese dishes from Lebanese Taverna’s bestselling items and some stayed late to enjoy a Classical Egyptian Belly Dance Performance by Asala
The event raised $625 through donations and ticket sales, surpassing our goal of $500. The event also brought in a ton of people together from many different organizations across DC — an outstanding success!

Thanks to RuninOut’s enthusiasm and Lebanese Taverna’s delicious spread, DCAYA had our most successful fundraiser to date. Even more importantly, our community of youth advocates were able to connect in a stress-free environment, while sampling delicious cuisine. The DC Alliance of Youth Advocates (DCAYA) is a coalition of youth-engaged organizations, youth and concerned residents formed to ensure that all children and youth in the District of Columbia have access to high-quality and affordable developmental opportunities. We accomplish this mission by crafting policy recommendations, providing structured advocacy opportunities for our members and allies, networking and empowering youth.
