A Quality Inn in Alexandria, VA caught fire overnight after a big explosion. Fire crews arrived at the scene around 2am Sunday morning and found the hotel engulfed in flames. Several floors collapsed and the entire building has been condemned. Displaced guests are at nearby hotels, and Red Cross is on the scene to assist.
The cause of the fire was electrical which made it difficult to battle. One person and one firefighter was injured, but it was considered non-life-threatening.
