[dropcap]I[/dropcap]nauguration events will begin in just over a week.
Street closures and parking restrictions throughout D.C. will begin shortly after noon on Jan. 18, and expand to major roads and bridges by 3 a.m. on Jan. 19.
These closures will continue even after the Inauguration.
Meanwhile, the President-Elect is having trouble finding talent to perform. Trump, however, claims that he’s turning away A-listers in order to bring the inauguration “back to the people.”
If you remember Obama’s historic, star-studded Inauguration eight years ago, over 1.8 million attended, setting a record attendance, even surpassing Dr Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream.”
Including supporters, tourists and protestors, we expect the turn out to be much, much less.
But still security will be top-notch. The types and levels of threats have changed in the last eight years, and we expect the Secret Service and the National Guard to be at their very best.
