The 2022 San Diego Writers Festival

SAN DIEGO — The Coronado Public Library hosted the fourth annual San Diego Writers Festival at the Library, Coronado High School and the John D. Spreckels Center.

This year’s theme: What Unites Us offered writers and readers a series of workshops, panels and lectures by notable writers.

There was something for everyone. Here’s a glimpse of some of the many authors at the fest.

Mind Captions by Samantha Hanna is a collection of poetry embodying the beautiful, ever-evolving, journey of self-discovery.

Growing into the Gray by Laurie Lee Davidson – an evocative reflection on trauma, somatic healing and the state of the world

Whispers Dancing in the Dark Winds a dark and thrilling tale by Demario Tyson

Mom’s Life Story Journal: Guided Prompts to Capture Your Memories and Share Stories by Kristen Fogle

Lightning Strike, a comic book series based on the author’s personal experience in Compton.

FNG by Benjamin Spada about a black ops military unit keeping our country safe.

Burden of the Crown by Anna Bushi and Forced to Marry Him by Davinder Kaur

Salmon in the Seine: Alaskan Memories of Life, Death, & Everything In-Between by Norris Comer.

San Diego Writers Festival

The success of the Writers festival was beyond our wildest dreams. So wonderful to be back in person. The energy was electric, the speakers were insightful, informative and generous. The volunteers were warm and filled with joy. The participants packed the rooms with excitement and excellent questions. The exhibitors were open-hearted as they displayed their incredible skills and books. Thank you to everyone who made it happen!
