Last July, we reported that sports betting is now legal in Washington, DC. The DC Council approved it making it the first in the DMV to legalize sports betting.
After a year, the first sportsbook has opened in the Capital One Arena. For now, bettors can make their wagers in the windows or kiosks.
Later in November, a two-story sports bar will open at the old Greene Turtle with a capacity of 750.
The goal is to turn the William Hill Sports Betting into a destination for sports enthusiasts who also like eat, drink and wager.
