Sauf Haus Bier Hall which just opened last fall is looking forward to spring. Known for their wide selection of German beer on tap (16 exactly), Sauf Haus is also planning a diverse cocktail list to satisfy all palates.
With 16 German drafts (some on seasonal rotation), a seasonal beertail list, giant pretzels, and a sweet outdoor space with long, communal tables, we are all that you could ask for in a bier hall.
On Feb 4, Sauf Haus in conjunction with Sosh DC held a You’re Boozin’, You’re Choosin’ event with 60 eclectic cocktail tasters. The lucky tasters congregated on long communal tables on the roof while sampling 10 different cocktails voting for their favorite ones. The top 5 cocktails and beertails will then make their seasonal list to be launched by spring.”I’ve fabricated plenty of cocktails and cocktail menus based on season, complimentary ingredients, and purveyors , with the consumer in mind. You’re Boozin’, You’re Choosin’ is our way to incorporate more of our bier into a custom cocktail list, said Amber Earman, Marketing Manager. “It’s a chance to get input from our guests and also an opportunity to expand their knowledge that bier can be mixed with liquor- that our biergarten is not just for the bier snob, it’s for everybody.”
