t’s been a few years since the last Caribbean Carnival took place on Georgia Ave, and since then the big carnival has moved north to Baltimore.  But DC has its fair share of good ole, mouth-watering Caribbean food along with music, dancing and festivities – and look no further than Georgia Ave. When Sandra and Donovan opened Sandovan Restaurant and Lounge a year ago, he wanted to bring back the food, atmosphere and vibe of the Caribbean.

The happy hour is a fabulous deal — the rum punch is to die for, the goat tender, succulent morsels and the crowd – sexy and fun.

One thing you can tell right away, the staff is proud of what they offer and love serving you.  When you have chicken and goat curry like we did that night — it was truly phenomenal!!

I’m happy to announce that the Caribbean heritage and culture is alive and well in DC.21202Sando12-ANIMATION
