Washington, D.C. – The first-ever Sawasdee DC Thai Festival, held on the National Mall, successfully celebrated the 190th anniversary of Thailand-US diplomatic relations. The Thai ambassador to the United States, Tanee Sangrat, expressed his excitement about showcasing Thai heritage to the people of Washington, D.C. “We promoted Washington, D.C. through our culture and festival,” he said. “We brought everything we could about our culture that was fun, exciting, and tasty. We had a lot to share on the National Mall.”
