Monument Realty has formed a partnership with Modus Hotels to develop a 245-room micro-hotel at 627 H St NW adjacent to Vapiano’s Restaurant. Construction is starting later this month with completion expected in 2015.
The micro concept has proven to be a successful model in New York where guests who don’t spend too much time in their rooms would prefer to save money
Monument Realty was granted zoning approval to skip the 64 required parking spaces but would have to offer Capital Bikeshare membership passes to guests.
Rooms typically top out at 250 square feet and cost approximately $125 a night.
