Cafe Paradiso

If you want fabulous Italian cuisine and terrific wine in a quaint and cozy spot, then look no further than Woodley Park’s majestic Cafe Paradiso.

Walk inside, you are greeted by a friendly staff and modern decor. The restaurant is spacious, capable of handling a large party and on this unseasonably cool summer day, the patio was a big winner.

I had the Linguine Genovese and the wild mushroom appetizer. The pasta was homemade and deliciously prepared with perfect sized portions.

If you’re visiting the zoo on a long, hot day, you can sit outside and people watch. The location is solid and just a stone’s throw from just about everything in Woodley.

For dessert, I sunk my teeth into the heavenly Kahlua Tiramisu, soaked in coffee liquer and espresso.

Though Woodley Park is not walking distance to the city core, it’s right by the metro and close to Omni Shoreham, Marriott and of course the zoo.

Would definitely go back, whether on a date or just mulling around on a nice, long day.
