Awesome Con 2026 once again transformed the Walter E. Washington Convention Center into the largest celebration of pop culture in the nation’s capital. Throughout the weekend, thousands of fans filled the convention center to experience celebrity panels, comic book creators, gaming, anime, science fiction, fantasy, and some of the most creative cosplay you’ll find anywhere.
The convention floor was packed with vendors selling everything from comics and collectibles to artwork, toys, and memorabilia, while Artist Alley gave visitors the chance to meet talented illustrators and writers from across the country. Cosplayers of all ages posed for photos, recreated scenes from their favorite movies and TV shows, and turned the convention into a colorful showcase of creativity.
Beyond the exhibit hall, attendees packed panel rooms to hear from actors, creators, and industry professionals, while families enjoyed interactive exhibits, tabletop gaming, and activities designed for fans of every generation. Whether visitors came to meet celebrities, hunt for rare collectibles, or simply admire the incredible costumes, there was something happening around every corner.
Awesome Con once again proved why it has become one of Washington, DC’s premier annual events, bringing together fans from across the region for a weekend celebrating comics, movies, television, gaming, and the imagination that connects them all.
