Arlington’s County Board gave the green light to $55 million in renovations for Ballston Common Mall, to turn it into a mixed-use, entertainment-oriented development.
By a unanimous vote, the County agreed to allocate $10 million in public revenue for garage and transportation improvements and to generate a tax increment financing district that would generate up to $45.5 million.
Owner, Forest City, has plans to add new retail and office space including a 22-story, 406-unit residential tower for approximately $317 million.
