Adams Morgan Day kicks off on Sept 11

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his year’s Adams Morgan Day – the longest running neighborhood celebration in DC went off without a hitch.  As usual there was plenty of food, fun, music and dogs.img_4599

Last year after experiencing a minor hiccup when its president Marc Morgan mismanaged finances, the event was scaled down from years past. This year’s festival kept the same “mellow” vibe – no longer the signature street fest of the district, but still a lot to see and a lot of fun to be had.

The big difference is the streets will not be closed inviting people to visit local businesses. The event will be more mellow and the Hare Krishnas will probably not take up camp. No worries, there were lots of amazing specials and kickass bands.
