Main line of storms has exited to the east of the Chesapeake Bay. But storms will linger in Southern MD a while longer, with scattered showers and a few thundershowers overnight. Still, the weather did little to dampen the protestors mood for the seventh night in a row.

Thunderstorm in DC during week of protest

Friday starts warm and humid with partly cloudy skies. Scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and through the evening.

Saturday, the weather will be perfect. Mild and dry – perfect for another big protest in front of the White House

“We have a lot of public information to suggest that the this Saturday may be one of the largest that we’ve had in the city,” D.C. police Chief Peter Newsham said during a briefing Thursday.

“We expect that Saturday’s demonstration will, like I said, be more of the same peaceful demonstrators coming to exercise their First Amendment right in Washington, D.C.”
