How to Get Tickets to National Museum of African American History

Here’s how to get tickets to the African American History Museum:

Timed passes are released the first Wednesday of each month.

The next advanced tickets will be released online Wednesday, Jan 5, at 9 a.m. for visits in April. Up to six tickets can be ordered at a time and tickets go quickly.

A limited number of same-day timed passes are available online beginning at 6:30 a.m. daily until they run out. Here’s how to get tickets:

The next advanced tickets will be released online Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m. for visits in March. Up to six tickets can be ordered at a time and tickets go quickly. If you miss out Wednesday, timed passes will be released on the first Wednesday of each month.

A limited number of same-day timed passes are available online beginning at 6:30 a.m. daily until they run out.

A limited number of walk-up passes (one per person) are available starting at 1 p.m. on weekdays on the Madison Drive side of the building.

Noncommercial groups of 10 or more, including schools, nonprofits and families, have been given the option to schedule their visit up to one year in advance online. However, group reservations have been suspended to handle a backlog of 30,000 requests.
