Weather update:
DC Bike Ride is a rain or shine event! In 2016, our first annual event, we saw weather JUST like this, and still 7,000 bicycle lovers showed up and had a blast.
Take some extra time to prepare for Saturday by making sure your bike is ready, your tires are inflated, and plan to wear layers and moisture wicking clothing. We’re planning to make the best of it.
A safe event is our top priority, so event staff and public safety officials are monitoring the weather very closely leading into the morning of the event.
We made a minor modification to the Start Line at West Potomac Park and riders will now line up on the roads instead of in the grass field. It is still the same Start Location. Check your email for an updated map.

If officials make the call for the ride to be delayed or put on hold, we will communicate that via stage announcements and police cruisers around the Start Line and on course, as well as via email and social media. If necessary, we will delay until it is safe to resume and then continue the event as planned.
